A series of photographs taken at Wilson Mills, Mills, Harding County, New Mexico about 1920-1930. These were sent by Robert Dennis' family to his sister, Dorothy Dennis Cole in Ohio. The descriptions are taken from remarks written on the reverse of these photos printed (but not mailed) as post cards.

Old Mills ranch house, Springer, New Mexico, former home of Melvin Whitson Mills. The reverse reads "Red River runs up from the canyon through Springer where we saw this house Monday Jan. 29. The old man, Mills, is living in this house now 'old and feeble' and no wonder as such a life he led." There are a couple of current videos of this same house at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4cBedqQJ38 and https://youtu.be/05w-mCDN5fI. |
